Hidden Rooms occupies the lower ground floor/basement of an iconic Victorian building which was originally built as Roman Baths. It is deceptively large, with spacious, open-plan trade areas, plenty of storage and a decked courtyard garden.
The entrance is located at ground floor level, underneath the attractive frontage which features three ionic columns supporting a dentilled pediment. A wide staircase leads down to a lobby area with male and female WCs and cloakroom with further storage room beyond. The main bar area comprises a mixture of fixed and booth seating, with two further intimate booth areas. The bar itself is sunken, with the whole catering for c. 70 covers. A large events room provides a further 50+ covers and features a DJ booth with sound system and light controls and an ‘express’ bar. A rear hallway provides access to male toilets and the back of house areas, which includes a fire exit, storeroom and large office which has plumbing and drainage connected, affording the opportunity to convert to a trade kitchen (STNC). Outside, there is a two-tier decked courtyard area which is accessed from the main bar.
Hidden Rooms is a cocktail lounge with seated table service, live music and events space. The events room is utilised to host private parties, with venue hire available from 50-200 guests. In addition to evening entertainment, daytime packages include cocktail and dance classes. The premises licence permits the supply of alcohol on and off the premises from 10:00-00:00 Monday-Saturday and 12:00-22:30 on Sundays.
