It has been revealed Jones Lang LaSalle has been appointed to complete the Winsford Cross Shopping Centre re-development.
JLL’s Retail Management team currently manages just under 350 retail sites in the UK.
Brian Clarke, Cabinet member for economic development and infrastructure, said:
“Winsford is a town on the up and by purchasing the shopping centre and the land around it we are unlocking the opportunity for a more comprehensive development of the town centre that matches our aspirations for the whole of Winsford.”
He further added:
“We are pleased to welcome JLL as a partner in this project and look forward to sharing their experience and knowledge of managing shopping centres.”
Just over a month ago, the 220,000 sq ft Shopping Centre was acquired by Cheshire West and Chester Council for £19.75 million. The local authority, furthermore, emphasised on providing substantial opportunities to create new jobs in the area.
The retail complex is located in the town centre of Winsford, neighbouring with ASDA and consists of 72 retail units including Argos, EE, DW Sports, Pound Stretch, Peacocks, Greggs, Vodafone and Thompsons Travel, with a significant number of unoccupied units.
